Curbside Tote/Bin Information

Only curbside collection totes or bins provided by the CVRD are accepted for collection in the program. Each tote is the property of the CVRD, comes with a geotagged ID tag, and must stay at its designated address.

Every eligible dwelling has or will receive one standard set of totes. Standard tote/bin sizes include:

  • 132L green tote for organics (combined food and yard waste)
  • 132L black tote for garbage (132L totes hold roughly the same amount as two standard garbage cans)
  • 240L blue tote for recyclables (paper items and plastic/metal containers)
  • 27L yellow bin for glass bottles and jars

  1. Your tote/bin is missing
  2. Your tote/bin is broken
  3. You no longer require your additional tote/bin
