The Cowichan Community Centre offers many different community events throughout the year. Some of our highlighted events include our Family Day Celebration, Caleb Kroffat Memorial CPR & AED Training, Christmas Chaos Arts & Craft Market, Winter Wonderland Skate, and New Year’s Eve Celebration. We also partner with local community organizations to offer special events. Some of our past partnership events included Cultural Connections Activity Night in partnership with Cowichan Intercultural Society.

BC Youth Week is a provincial celebration of youth, held annually from May 1 – 7. This week of fun-filled interaction and celebration is intended to build a strong connection between youth and their communities. This event is intended to highlight the interests, accomplishments, and diversity of youth across the province. Join us for this week full of FREE events. We would like to thank our Community Partners for helping make our Youth Week activities possible: Cowichan Performing Arts Centre; Cowichan Valley Arts Council; Portofino Bakery; Thrifty Foods; Vancouver Island Regional Library.

CVAC: Youth Art & Chill Cafe Ages 13 – 18 Spend your afternoon out of school, in creative space with mixed media art. Get your supplies from the supply bar and enjoy the chill atmosphere with friends or solo. Experienced artist volunteers will be present to offer support. Mark you calendars for the 46th annual Christmas Chaos Arts & Craft Market. With over 120 vendors, Santa’s Workshop, food trucks, entertainment, and raffles, there’s sure to be something for everyone. Christmas Chaos features a wide range of unique products including; home décor, specialty foods, baked goods, pottery and art, fabric and fibre designs, clothing, jewelry, beauty and body care products, local wine and spirits, and of course holiday decorations.
