BC Youth Week is a provincial celebration of youth, held annually during the first week of May. It is a week of fun-filled interaction and a celebration intended to build a strong connection between youth and their communities. This event is intended to highlight the interests, accomplishments, and diversity of youth across the province. Join us for a week full of FREE youth activities.

Be Creative – Art Party | Ages 13 – 18 Come and join us for a fun and inspiring day of art, dedicated to creativity, self-expression, and imagination! This fun event invites young people to explore different art activities in a welcoming and supportive environment. All supplies and light snacks will be provided. Youth Art Show | Ages 13 – 18 Join us for a celebration of youth artistic expression! We are showcasing youth artwork with a café style reception and art display! Hands on art activities will be offered. Celebrate your peers and create something of your own. Open Hearts | Public Art Project You are invited to help create a vision for how your community can include you! Youth will design and decorate clay hearts that will transform into a powerful ceramic public art piece that asks, “what do youth need to feel a sense of belonging in our community?”. You will be invited to create a piece for yourself as well. This is a quick project so feel free to pop-in quickly during the available time. Kerry Park Recreation Centre |

Youth Appreciation BBQ Let’s celebrate Youth Week 2026 together! Join us for a FREE barbeque tail gate party. Let us serve you hot dogs, snacks and beverages while we learn what you want to see in your community! There will be games, prizes, giveaways and freebies. Pickleball Party It’s a youth takeover on the courts! Anyone can play this fun game and we are excited to serve pickleballs and play some bangers at the court. Vibe to the music and enjoy some frosty treats and refreshments. Our pickleball instructor will be offering instruction if you want to improve! There will also be activities for non-players!
