Coaches Mentoring Elementary School Teachers (CMEST)

The Coaches Mentoring Elementary School Teachers (CMEST) Program runs on a grant that enables sport and dance coaches to share their expertise and inspire youths in the Cowichan Valley to stay active and discover life long healthy activities.

This is a free program offered to Elementary Schools in the Cowichan Valley. The CMEST program encourages Elementary Classroom and/or PHE Teachers to invite coaches to come teach their PHE classes and model instructional practices for future planning. Teachers are expected to stay with their class and help supervise while our instructors coach the students. It is recommended that instructors are booked for multiple sessions for students to develop basic skills and get hooked onto the sport!
