Sentinel Ridge Sewer System

Sentinel Ridge Sewer System is located south of Mill Bay in Area A. The system currently services approximately 182 properties.

System Overview

The system consists of a gravity collection system and pressurized force main flowing to a membrane bioreactor treatment plant. The treated effluent is pumped to ground for disposal.

Critical equipment is monitored 24-hours a day for malfunctions, such as pump failures; if such an abnormality occurs an alarm is sent to the on-duty pager to alert CVRD staff for immediate response.

This system currently has capacity for suites, and limited capacity for inclusions and single-family dwelling connections. Further development would require developer-funded system upgrades to create additional capacity.
