The Cowichan Valley Regional District recognizes that providing access to geospatial data is an important function and service to the community. To view the data, you need software compatible with GIS, CAD or Google Earth formats.

Orthophotos

Orthophotos for areas within the Cowichan Valley Regional District have been acquired over numerous years.

You can access the Orthophoto Overview PDFas well as ZIP files by general location.

Please note the orthophotos do not cover the entire region.

Contours

Contours derived from LiDAR data by CVRD GIS staff are available for download, organized by general location in both Shapefile and DWG formats.

The CVRD is in the ancestral and unceded territories of First Nations including (but not limited to) Quw'utsun (Cowichan Tribes), MÁLEXEŁ (Malahat), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), c̓uubaʕsaʔtx̣ (Ts'uubaa-asatx), xeláltxw (Halalt), Spune’luxutth (Penelakut), Stz'uminus, Leey’qsun (Lyackson), Diitiidʔaaʔtx̣ (Ditidaht) and P’a:chi:da?aht (Pacheedaht) Peoples. Local First Nations Peoples have stewarded the lands of this region since time immemorial.
