 Input Wanted on the Draft Old Baldy Mountain Park Management Plan

The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is welcoming community input on the draft Old Baldy Mountain Park Management Plan for the Electoral Area B – Shawnigan Lake community park. The draft management plan has been developed based on input received during phase 1 engagement, background research, site analysis, and ongoing discussions with First Nations.

Old Baldy Mountain Park is a community park that provides access to a distinctive mountain landscape, forested slopes, rocky outcrops, ridgelines, and panoramic views of Shawnigan Lake and the surrounding region. The draft management plan identifies the key values that will guide the care and management of the park over the next 10 to 15 years. These values provide the foundation for the draft vision, management goals, and recommended actions in the plan.
