This beautiful Mayo Lake Park near Skutz Falls by the Cowichan River is a popular fishing spot. The lake itself measures 8.4 hectares in surface area and has been annually provincially stocked with rainbow trout since 1988. Provincial freshwater fishing regulations may have special restrictions in effect for Mayo Lake, so anglers are encouraged to review the current British Columbia freshwater sport fishing regulations to ensure compliance.
Mayo Lake Park address is 6425 Mayo Road, Skutz Falls. West off the Trans-Canada Highway onto Cowichan Valley Highway (Highway 18). Left onto the Highway 18 Connector. Right onto Cowichan Lake Road. Left onto Mayo Road. Park is on the right hand side.
