Maple Hills Sewer System

Maple Hills Sewer System is located off of Hutchinson Road, east of Cobble Hill, in Area C. The system services 60 residential properties.

System Overview

The system consists of a gravity collection system with a Rotating Biological Contactor (RBC) treatment plant producing Class C treatment. The effluent is pumped from the treatment plant to a ground disposal field. 

Critical equipment is monitored 24-hours a day for malfunctions, such as pump failures; if such an abnormality occurs an alarm is sent to the on-duty pager to alert CVRD staff for immediate response.

This system currently has limited capacity for suites only. There is not currently capacity for additional single-family dwelling connections or inclusions. Further development would require developer-funded system upgrades to create additional capacity.
