This is an exciting two day event where youth rowers from Vancouver Island and Lower Mainland schools and rowing clubs come together to race on Quamichan Lake. This is a sanctioned regatta, hosted by the Maple Bay Rowing Club, where the competitors, aged 12-18, race down a 2 km course in rowing sculls with 1, 2, 4 or 8 rowers. There will be national team rowers in attendance to present awards and some may join the competition on the race course!
