Cowichan Valley Regional District Advances Municipal and Regional District Tax Renewal Application
The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD), in partnership with Tourism Cowichan, is moving forward with an engagement plan to renew the Municipal and Regional District Tax (MRDT) Program for 2027–2031. The MRDT is a provincial initiative that provides sustainable funding for tourism marketing, programs and visitor services in the region.

Land Acknowledgement
The CVRD is in the ancestral and unceded territories of First Nations including (but not limited to) Quw'utsun (Cowichan Tribes), MÁLEXEŁ (Malahat), BOḰEĆEN (Pauquachin), c̓uubaʕsaʔtx̣ (Ts'uubaa-asatx), xeláltxw (Halalt), Spune’luxutth (Penelakut), Stz'uminus, Leey’qsun (Lyackson), Diitiidʔaaʔtx̣ (Ditidaht) and P’a:chi:da?aht (Pacheedaht) Peoples.
