SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS & PARK USE

It is important for the CVRD to be aware of school group activities and visits to our parks and trails in order to protect sensitive ecosystems and to ensure the capacity of park facilities meet the requirements of the group. In CVRD parks that have caretakers (Bright Angel Park and Glenora Trails Head Park), sufficient notice must be given to allow for the preparation of the park facilities.

HOW TO REQUEST A SCHOOL FIELD TRIP

All school groups planning a field trip to a CVRD park or trail must receive prior written approval from the CVRD. Please review the information below to determine what type of request to submit:

Request with a Picnic Shelter Reservation

  • submit your request, along with payment, for a picnic shelter reservation here;
  • if approved, a confirmation email along with a rental contract will be provided by CVRD staff.
