[ARCHIVED] Woodstove Exchange Program 2010

Smarter Burning, Cleaner Living

Beginning March 1, 2010

Receive a $350 rebate and a $50 retailer discount at participating retailers!
This offer is being coordinated by the CVRD for residents of CVRD Electoral Areas, the Town of Ladysmith, and the Town of Lake Cowichan. There are 50 rebates available on a first come, first serve basis. The program allows you to exchange your old, uncertified wood stove (pre-1994) for a new, EPA emission-certified wood, pellet, or gas heating appliance. Old stoves are permanently disabled and then recycled.

For further details, please see the CVRD Woodstove Exchange Program 2010 Brochure (embedded link to brochure).

Also, be sure to check out the following “Burn it Smart(embedded link to youtube)” videos on YouTube, courtesy of the Hearth, Patio & Barbeque Association (HPBA). You’ll find great educational videos containing tips and techniques for efficient home heating.
