Hey Cowichan,

The bears are back, and so is WildSafeBC! 

CVRD Recycling & Waste Management (R&WM) staff recently had the pleasure of spending the day at Honeymoon Bay Outdoor Market with Sachin Sethi (pictured right), our WildSafeBC Community Coordinator for this season.  He is joined by Krystal Dickinson (left), our R&WM summer student.  Sachin is thrilled to be working alongside us all to ensure that wildlife stays wild and our neighbourhoods stay safe.

As part of his role, he'll be organizing various initiatives aimed at preventing conflicts with wildlife. Stay tuned for a wide range of activities, including wildlife awareness and safety presentations, WildSafeBC Business Pledges, the Bare Campsite Program, door-to-door outreach, garbage tagging initiatives, bear spray workshops, and much more! Together, we can make a real difference in safeguarding our natural surroundings.
