Due to accumulating snowfall, unplowed roads and underlying ice, curbside garbage and recycling in Cowichan Bay may or may not be collected today. Drivers are working hard to reach as many homes as safely possible, including homes that were missed last week.

We are making every attempt to collect your curbside material, but the safety of our drivers and everyone else on the road is our first priority.  

If your materials are not collected by 8:00 pm, please bring in your totes until your next scheduled collection day, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 4. 

Drivers will accept extra materials in clearly marked containers such as laundry baskets, cardboard boxes or storage totes (no plastic bags, please). Alternatively, you may bring your materials to a CVRD Recycling Centre.
