[ARCHIVED] Changes to CVRD Curbside Services in Electoral Areas: Collection Schedule Update

Collection Schedule Update

The CVRD’s curbside collection program has been experiencing significant disruptions over the past several months due to ongoing mechanical failures in our aging collection fleet. To allow collection vehicles suitable repair and maintenance time, the CVRD is organizing a Saturday collection day to reduce the size of existing collection routes.

As the CVRD moves toward the Saturday curbside collection service in December, some residents will experience a change to their regularly scheduled pick-up day. Letters have been mailed to affected addresses, outlining the next two collection dates under the current schedule and the first collection day on the new schedule. For more information about the change in service and to view the affected areas, see https://www.cvrd.ca/78/Garbage-Recycling

We will be sending schedule reminders to all affected addresses through the Cowichan Recycles app. Would you like schedule notifications and reminders sent to your mobile phone, landline or email? Download the app or visit https://www.cvrd.ca/3507/Collection-Schedules.

If you are unsure how the new curbside collection schedule will affect you, please contact the recycling Hotline at 250.746.2540 or email curbside@cvrd.bc.ca.
