Way to recycle, Cowichan!
We wanted to commend you for putting our community first by donating your refundable beverage containers at CVRD Recycling Centres.
Through the CVRD’s partnership with Island Return It, all proceeds from refundables are donated to a local charity each month. In 2021, this resulted in $68,000 going toward local non-profit groups with $10,600 from Meade Creek, $46,600 from Bings Creek, and $10,800 from Peerless Road Recycling Centres. These groups include:

- Cowichan Valley Regional Visitor Centre

- Honeymoon bay Firefighter Society
- Cowichan Family Caregivers Support Society
