COVID-19 UPDATE

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, CVRD Recycling Centres have made the following changes: 

Reduced Hours of Operation:

Peerless Road Recycling Centre - Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 9 am - 5 pm

Meade Creek Recycling Centre - Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday 9 am - 5 pm

Bings Creek Recycling Centre - Regular hours (8 am - 5 pm everyday)

To ensure safe physical distancing, the following restrictions are in place:

Only 10 customers permitted in Recycling Centres at a time.

We accept credit or debit cards only; cash is prohibited at this time.

CVRD Free Stores are closed to the public.

We are asking Cowichan residents to make some changes too: 

Please DO NOT visit CVRD Recycling Centres unless absolutely necessary.

Line ups at CVRD Recycling Centres could be potentially dangerous to your health and safety as well as the health and safety of CVRD staff.

Please consider storing yard waste at home until the provincial state of emergency has been lifted.

Please note these restrictions/requests are not forever. They are for the time being. Let’s all do out part and help flatten the curve.
