DOG LICENCING


The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) would like to encourage dog owners to licence their dogs.


If purchased before January 31, 2020, the fee is $25. On February 1, 2020, the fee will increase to $35. Licences are sold at the CVRD offices at 175 Ingram Street in Duncan or at the following locations across the region:

•           Coastal Animal Shelter

•           Buckerfield’s

•           Cobble Hill Market

•           Laughing Llama

•           Pier 66 Market

•           Ladysmith City Hall/Frank Jamison Community Centre

•           CVRD Recreation Centres located within CVRD Electoral Areas


Benefits of dog licencing includes:

•           Support the cost of animal control services including patrols and investigating complaints

•           Impound dog care including medical attention if needed

•           Dog parks, maintenance and supplies including Waste Disposal Bags
