Tipping fees have changed for a number of waste and recyclable material streams accepted at CVRD Recycling Centres. Tipping fees are occasionally updated to reflect changes in waste and recycling markets, which can include increases in processing costs. 

Tipping Fee Changes

• The Organic waste tipping fee will increase from $90 per tonne to $112 per tonne. Residential quantities of up to 18L (5 gallon pail) will remain free to drop-off. 
• The Mattress tipping fee will increase from $10 per unit to $13 per unit. The additional surcharge for contaminated or soiled mattresses will remain at $140 per tonne.
• The Rubble tipping fee will increase from $25 per tonne to $75 per tonne for both Rubble Classes 1 and 2.
