[ARCHIVED] Students Ride Transit for Free

Cowichan Valley – This spring break, BC Transit and the Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) are bringing back the School’s Out Transit Special, offering students from kindergarten to Grade 12 eight days of free bus rides in the Cowichan Valley Regional Transit System.

To ride for free between Saturday, March 17 and Saturday, March 24, students need only present their valid K-12 student ID at the time of boarding. This transit special also applies to eligible students who are registered with handyDART.

The School’s Out program will apply to all local routes within the CVRD. Commuter routes (66 Duncan/Victoria, 99 Shawnigan Lake/Victoria) and the Saturday-only route 44 Duncan/Victoria will not participate in the program.
