[ARCHIVED] Flushable Wipes...Are They Flushable?

Unlike toilet paper, wipes don’t easily break down when flushed, even the ones labelled “flushable”. Once flushed, wipes can clog sewer lines, pumps and pipes in homes, causing sewage overflows into residences and the environment.  This also cause un-necessary expense as staff are required to attend to issues arising from clogged pipes and damaged pumps.  Learn more about how wipes clog pipes in this video from Metro Vancouver
