As part of the Cowichan Valley Regional District Community Services Department, we are one of the five public Recreation Centres in the Cowichan Valley. Located 45 minutes north of Victoria in beautiful Shawnigan Lake, British Columbia.

The South Cowichan region is well known for its natural beauty and offers many recreation opportunities, both indoors and out.

Shawnigan Lake Community Centre Commission

 
The Shawnigan Lake Community Centre Commission provides direction to staff on the operation of the Recreation Centre. The Commission is made up of the Area B Directors and 6 elected Shawnigan Lake residents. The Commission meets bi-monthly on the 3rd Monday, of each month 7:00 pm. *Please note this schedule does change occasionally please call us to confirm meeting date.
