Cowichan Lake Recreation
Come out and celebrate Canada’s birthday at Mesachie Lake. CVRD staff will have music, dancing, arts and crafts, kids’ games, concession, and birthday cupcakes.

Join the Honeymoon Bay Community Society, Cowichan Lake Recreation, the Honeymoon Bay Fire Department and Cowichan Lake District Chamber of Commerce for a fun family event. There will be a pancake breakfast followed by a parade that marshals on March Road at 10:00am, live music, games for kids, crafts, concession and more!
Saturday | July 12 | 7:30 am – 3:00 pm FREE Event | Code: 93811 CLR – Honeymoon Bay Community Hall
This free, fun event starts off with pancake breakfast at the Youbou Fire Hall, followed by the Youbou parade, which starts at 10:45 am from the Youbou Hall and travels to Arbutus Park. All are welcome to enter the parade (marshal at Youbou Hall at 10:00 am). The day is filled with fun activities including the Clarence Whittingham Memorial Quarter Mile Swim, bocce ball, swimming races for all ages, chalk art contest, land games for kids, music in the park, watermelon eating relay, lifeguard relay and more. A BBQ concession is available 11:00 am – 3:00pm.

Cowichan Community Centre
Join us again this year as we bring in the New Year, family-style, at the Cowichan Community Centre. Our FREE celebration will have something for the whole family, including face painting, a bouncy castle, a photo booth, and other new attractions. Our early countdown will take place just before 4:00 pm, complete with noise makers, prizes, and the always popular balloon drop! Please note: each skating session has limited capacity and will be on a first come, first served basis.

The Cowichan Community Centre is hosting a FREE Family Day Celebration. We will host two skating sessions where families can spend some quality time together on the ice. We will also have crafts and activities for all ages in the Multi-Purpose Hall and will be joined by the Caleb Kroffat Memorial CPR training team ( St. John Ambulance Brigade). Stay tuned for more details. This event is generously sponsored by CUPE 358.
